Our History
Founded in 1987 by a group of passionate volunteers, the West Ada Education Foundation began with a simple but powerful vision: to enrich the educational experience for students by fostering creativity and innovation in the classroom. The Foundation’s first initiative, the Innovation and Creativity Grant, set the tone for decades of growth and impact. Over time, WAEF expanded its reach to include emergency support through RISE, Thank a Teacher, and community fundraising events like Linking Up FORE Kids and Hoops4Hunger. Today, the Foundation continues to evolve, driven by its deep commitment to student success and educational excellence.
